2016 Art Summary + thoughts on the year

Well this is a few days early but I'll be busy on the eve so it's not like I'll get anything new done for this year XD

This was a pretty big year for me! I got a full time job as a Radiographer and managed to fit in 4 cons and a zine while working full time!  

The first 6 months were really productive I guess? Managed to upgrade my workstation because I finally had enough $$$ from working and tried to make it more ergonomic but ended up with arm and shoulder problems instead of wrist problems (lol).

I did a lot of convention stuff until the end of June before I just stopped with digital art for a bit-  I was mentally and physically exhausted after con season and the zine. I'd go to work, finish and then nap in my car for an hour and then work on stuff after I got home till past midnight. Rinse and repeat. 
Art basically felt like a second job by that point because I'd be working something like 12 days straight without a break and I got sick a lot. I guess this was a mental low point for me. After Con season finished I basically abandoned my tablet and ended up drawing a lot of building designs instead.  

BUT I also got to get to know and she influenced me a lot  !!! (Her webcomic characters are in the drawing for August)

The rest of the year was pretty much just messing around with designing stuff for fun but I didn't get as much done this year as I would have liked. Working's made it harder to connect with art in the way I used to. Still, I learned a lot and I think my art's gotten a lot better!

I hope that next year I'll be able to strike a good balance between productivity, socialising and work. Maybe figure out what I want to achieve with all of this 
basically just hoping I don't fuck myself over again
